OPEN CALL - The Winter Exhibition 25/26

Nov 7, 2025
3 min read

We have just opened a handful of submission places for our upcoming online Winter Exhibition.

A nod to our large mixed online exhibition that has filled our website at this time over the years, we couldn't resist opening this show to guests artists to celebrate more of the creativity that has happened this year.

Artists and makers in all medium are encouraged to submit - whether you have one stand-out piece or a whole collection you'd like to put forward, whether you are an established name or have only recently begun making, we would love to hear from you.

The exhibition represents work online directly from your studio so the work isn't needed to be physically sent until the work is sold.

It is open to international submissions. For international submissions, an additional amount for delivery to the UK will be included on selling prices as a base price.

HOW TO SUBMIT

To submit please email gallery director Claire Pearce at gallery@throwncontemporary.co.uk with:

- Individual images of all works for submission (see image guidelines in details below) with title, medium, dimensions, artist name and selling price in the file title.

- an artist statement and bio to give some background information on the work and the artist

The submission deadline is midnight on Monday 17th November. The exhibition will launch on our website on Thursday 27th November at 7pm and will run until Sunday 11th January 2026.

See full T&Cs and details for submitting work below.

It is brilliant that artists do not have to ship their work to the gallery unless it actually sells. Storing work in the studio until a purchase goes through takes so much pressure off logistics, especially for international makers trying to manage space and overheads. My flatmate is currently balancing a complex Aerospace Engineering Assignment Help Australia workload alongside her own studio practice, and this kind of hassle-free online exhibition structure is a breath of fresh air for busy creatives. I really enjoy seeing galleries adopt flexible digital models like this to support independent makers. I wonder if they plan on keeping this studio-direct format for future seasonal shows as well?

이용 과정이 간단하고 업무 설명이 명확해서 부담 없이 시작할 수유흥알바  관련 후기도 많아 참고하기 좋았고 실제 근무 환경도 설명과 비슷해 만족스러운 경험이었습니다.

This open call sounds like such a wonderful opportunity for artists to showcase their work in a supportive online space, especially with the flexibility of not needing to ship pieces until they sell. I really admire how Thrown Contemporary continues to celebrate creativity across all mediums and experience levels—that inclusive spirit is what makes online exhibitions so special. As someone who enjoys exploring creative digital tools, I recently came across an interesting way to bring photos to life with romantic animations: AI Kissing Video Generator. It’s a fun, modern twist on visual storytelling that pairs nicely with the innovative vibe of this exhibition. Best of luck to all the artists submitting—I can’t wait to see the Winter Exhibition lineup!

For anyone juggling multiple projects, a single landing page for all your important links can save you from constantly updating your profile. Organizing content, products, and social channels in one place makes it much easier for your audience to find what they need. I like how this setup allows for a more polished presentation than a simple list of URLs. If you're looking to streamline your online presence, checking out the official BioLinku page is a good starting point.

This exhibition sounds like a fantastic opportunity for artists of all levels! The online format makes it so accessible, and I love that you don't have to ship the work until it's sold. Just a tip for anyone preparing their submissions – if you're looking to make large-format presentation boards or wall art for your studio, you can easily print and assemble oversized images at home with Rasterbator. It’s a great way to visualize your pieces! Good luck to everyone submitting!
