- 3 min read

We have just opened a handful of submission places for our upcoming online Winter Exhibition.
A nod to our large mixed online exhibition that has filled our website at this time over the years, we couldn't resist opening this show to guests artists to celebrate more of the creativity that has happened this year.
Artists and makers in all medium are encouraged to submit - whether you have one stand-out piece or a whole collection you'd like to put forward, whether you are an established name or have only recently begun making, we would love to hear from you.
The exhibition represents work online directly from your studio so the work isn't needed to be physically sent until the work is sold.
It is open to international submissions. For international submissions, an additional amount for delivery to the UK will be included on selling prices as a base price.
HOW TO SUBMIT
To submit please email gallery director Claire Pearce at gallery@throwncontemporary.co.uk with:
- Individual images of all works for submission (see image guidelines in details below) with title, medium, dimensions, artist name and selling price in the file title.
- an artist statement and bio to give some background information on the work and the artist
The submission deadline is midnight on Monday 17th November. The exhibition will launch on our website on Thursday 27th November at 7pm and will run until Sunday 11th January 2026.

This call for submissions is a great example of how digital platforms are removing the traditional gatekeepers for artists. By handling the logistics online and only requiring physical shipping once a piece sells, it lowers the barrier to entry significantly for international makers. I saw a similar discussion on how this kind of streamlined digital presence can help niche creators scale over at https://direwolfseo.co.uk/ recently, and it is a solid reminder that the right online platform can act as a massive force multiplier for your work. Just make sure those images are as clean as they requested—first impressions are everything in an open call.

This was a very engaging and insightful post that really captured my attention from the beginning. I liked how the author explained simple ideas with clarity and connected them to real-life experiences. It shows how reflection plays an important role in learning. As a student studying in London, I often read blogs like this for inspiration during my academic journey. During busy periods, many learners also explore London Assignment Help to better manage their coursework and understand complex topics. Posts like this provide both motivation and useful insights for students.
The 45% commission plus VAT is on the higher side, but the fact that they cover 50% of breakage costs in transit and handle return shipping for physical viewings is a detail worth noting. International submissions are accepted with delivery to the UK factored into the base price, which is a practical way to handle variable shipping costs. For artists dealing with studio cleanouts or packing materials after shipping work, I’ve used https://affordablewastemanagement.co.uk/ to clear out packaging waste efficiently. The November 17th deadline gives about ten days to prepare, and the run through January means work stays visible through the holiday season.
