About Claudio Lorenzo Quintela

"My work in sculpture runs between figuration and abstraction. They are paths that I accept and that pose different challenges to me on their journey, the objective is to show a truth that cannot be translated only by beauty. Understand volume, space, material and its characteristics; the mass or weight, its finish, texture or patina in the case of ceramic pieces. All of this is part of the process, of the dialogue that I establish with the material, not as a fight to break it, but in a relationship of equals, where if you know how to listen to what it offers you, you can bring the work to a successful conclusion. A place where the finished piece is presented emphatically, unequivocally, with the capacity to suggest other spaces, other volumes, with the power to continue investigating the following works."
