About Linda Lencovic
‘My work delves into the complexities of identity, race, and cultural belonging, drawing inspiration from my own experiences of feeling both connected and detached from the communities around me. Through my art, I seek to unravel the intricacies of these themes, probing the boundaries between inside and outside, void and containment.’
Born in Canada, Lencovic currently lives and works in Hastings. She studied as an undergraduate at Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design and completed a MA in painting at Chelsea College of Art and Design in 2006.
She has exhibited internationally, with work in collections both in the UK and abroad. Career highlights include group exhibitions at the Tate Modern, Whitechapel Gallery and Freud Museum in London and Garboushian Gallery in Los Angeles. She was shortlisted for the Celeste Art Prize in 2007, Barbican Surreal Competition and FRINGEMK Painting Prize in 2010.
Her work explores identity, race and cultural belonging in a variety of disciplines. She focuses on moments of transition – the liminal spaces where boundaries blur and identities shift. Capturing these moments, she aims to highlight the fluidity of identity and the fragility of the human mind. Her art is a reflection of the interplay between self and society, inviting viewers to contemplate their own sense of belonging in an increasingly complex world.

Kirsty Adam’s work is both functional and holds aesthetic meaning, retaining the spontaneity and delicacy intrinsic to making on the potters’ wheel. A Japanese comb tool is used to create and enhance the throwing lines. Her Icelandic collection is the culmination of a research trip to Iceland to express the ‘otherworldliness’ of the landscape.
Kirsty is an award-winning ceramicist currently working from her studio in Newcastle upon Tyne. She originally trained at Brighton Art College and then on the potters’ wheel in Japan. She has developed a personal approach to throwing on the wheel using porcelain clay, to produce unique pieces for the home.
