About Emma Przygrodzka

Emma Przygrodzka a ceramic artist and designer whose work is inspired by organic forms, erosion and chaos, her work celebrates imperfection, finds beauty in everyday objects, drawing inspiration from Japanese pottery and traditional techniques.

Most pieces follow simple principles and rules of construction to then be distorted and manipulated into something unique, layering slips, oxides and glazes to add depth and texture, once fired leaving a physical connection to the place of its making.

Emma studied ceramics at Bath Academy of Art, drawn to the mediative and mindful practice of working in clay, the delicate balance between humans and the natural environment and hoping to encourage us to re-evaluate why we purchase even the most simple of everyday objects.
