About Laura Huston
"My ceramics emerge from a deep engagement with the natural world. I am drawn to wild, untamed places — landscapes of myth and memory. I seek to uncover the subtle messages of rock, water, sky, and light, expressing their essence through the medium of glazed ceramics. My work draws upon the land and our presence within it, finding moments of significance, ritual and beauty. I create within the limits of what I know intuitively. In this space, the unconscious often forms a vision, and my task is to give it shape and presence through clay."
