About the Artist
'The thematic still lives are constructed in the studio, incorporating organic forms and manmade objects, with the surfaces and backdrops being made and coloured specifically to enhance the theatricality of the set-ups. Using ideas of memory and nostalgia for particular customs and rituals such as Halloween, or imaginary journeys in response to pieces of writing, I quite simply wanted to see and experience ‘imagined’ colour.'
