About Leonie Rutter
"I create sculptural ceramics with flowing lines and minimalist designs. My focus is on form and texture, developing unique, tactile pieces that convey a sense of balance and harmony. I deliberately use asymmetry to add a complexity to my designs, inviting you to explore each piece from every angle."

An engineer by profession, Leonie's love of clay started at art evening classes in the 90s. Her hobby has developed over the years and she is now working full time as a ceramic artist, based in the Yorkshire Dales, UK.
 
Leonie’s engineering background adds a unique perspective to her ceramics, allowing her to push the boundaries of the medium whilst creating forms which are visually appealing. She has travelled widely and her art is strongly influenced by the cultures and natural environments of the countries where she has lived and worked.
 
Leonie's work is held in collections in Europe, USA and New Zealand.
