Anna Badur's Tide collection is a series of porcelain vases, cups and carafes with a unique wave pattern on each item. The aqueous decor is applied by hand onto the porcelain cup in an experimental process. The archetypal shape and the pure white of the porcelain are providing a clear framework for the natural pattern. Each decor is partly left to chance resulting in unique patterns that remind us on the waves of the sea. The series is produced in collaboration with renowned porcelain manufacturer KAHLA Thüringen Porzellan.
 
All of her work is dishwasher safe, microwave resistant and oven safe up to 280oC.
 
 
About Anna Badur
Anna Badur is an award-winning designer based in Berlin. Her work is driven by an experimental approach and a passion for materials.
 
Her 'Tide' collection is a series of porcelain vases, cups and carafes with a unique wave pattern on each item. The aqueous decor is applied onto the hand cast vases in an experimental process. The archetypal shape and the pure white porcelain provide a clear framework for the natural pattern.
 
Anna graduated with a Master degree from Design Academy Eindhoven, department for Contextual Design, in 2012. Her work has gone on to be exhibited and sold all over the world and can be found in the collections of Nordenfjeldske Kunstindustrimuseum (National Museum of Dekorative Arts and Design), Norway and Ceramics Museum Bürgel, Germany.
