“My work is inspired by local landscapes, exploring organic forms and textures through altered ceramic pieces. Beginning as standard forms thrown on the wheel, I embellish these forms with additional sculptural elements and materials, building up the surface to echo the layered and weathered qualities found in nature.”
 
“Glazing responds to the contours and marks of the piece, enhancing its texture. Through this process, I create altered forms that reflect the unpredictability and fluidity of natural landscapes, resulting in pieces with a distinctly organic quality.”
