"Based in Crystal Palace, I make stoneware ceramics for day to day living. Each piece is constructed using traditional hand building techniques, such as pinching, slabbing and coiling. The texture of the clay and construction is kept within the work to highlight the natural material and the care and process required to make each piece."

After growing up in Watford, Hertfordshire, Lily (b. 1994) is now based in Crystal Palace, South London. Lily makes stoneware ceramics using traditional hand building techniques, working out of a small, shared studio.
 
Largely self taught, she took up ceramics following a series of evening classes. She has recently developed her first collection, ‘So Many Squares,’ that explores the role that slow, thoughtful, heritage processes can have in impacting how we live and consume.
 
Over the past two years she has shown works as part of London Design Festival, cam.contemparies at The Art Office and the Summer Curation at better things. Alongside ceramics, Lily works in the charity sector, developing community-led arts and culture programmes.
