K I R S T Y A D A M S
Kirsty Adam’s work is both functional and holds aesthetic meaning, retaining the spontaneity and delicacy intrinsic to making on the potters’ wheel. A Japanese comb tool is used to create and enhance the throwing lines. Her Icelandic collection is the culmination of a research trip to Iceland to express the ‘otherworldliness’ of the landscape.
Kirsty is an award-winning ceramicist currently working from her studio in Newcastle upon Tyne. She originally trained at Brighton Art College and then on the potters’ wheel in Japan. She has developed a personal approach to throwing on the wheel using porcelain clay, to produce unique pieces for the home.

SUBY TAMANG
Suby Tamang is the maker behind Tama Ceramics. She is a London-based ceramic artist/sculptor. Recently graduated with a BA in Ceramic Design at Central Saint Martins in 2020. Suby's signature style explores tactility and functionality ware by working with textural clays such as crank and Vulcan Black.
Whilst reading at CSM she developed an understanding of the importance of ceramics in encouraging mindfulness. Her final year project at CSM explored Mindfulness in Lockdown. This project was a body of photographic work, documenting the everyday objects from around the house that creates a sense of home. She then combined these objects to serve an unexpected function. This would accentuate awareness of these objects and subsequently increase mindfulness. This style has lain the foundation for her approach in future projects. Suby's currently working on hand-built biomorphic sculptures which are an extension of her practice in mindfulness.
