Our Summer Show returns to Cornwall for a special summer pop-up.

This year's exhibition includes a large new collection of colour-filled tableware by acclaimed South African ceramicist Clementina van der Walt alongside new painterly ceramics by New Zealand-based artist Annie Smits Sandano. While these collections feature colour at its boldest, Max Breese's ceramics and paintings use tone to explore light on an summer's evening on Tooting Common. Light and shadow brings us beautifully to the dense dark clay of Carly Sealey (aka Naked Clay Ceramics), with intuitive flicks of slip and glaze waiting for light to find them.

With colour and light filling our space, absorbing influence from across the world, we also wanted to use exhibition to connect in with our summer location of Cornwall. Our exhibitions features our first collections by Cornwall-based artist Theo Hutchley-Mack, using splintered wood and oil paints to explore derelict and abandoned landscapes, and Daisy Freestone who suspends foraged materials such a cornish sand and shells in jesmonite vessels.

These new collections are accompanied by hand-picked works from our collection as well as a new acquisition of vintage works by note-able and unknown makers, diving into the relationships and histories of objects - how we live with them and how they will live.
