Introducing our Winter Exhibition 2020 'Curated View'
Our Winter Exhibition 'Curated View' shows imagined groupings of our online exhibition to help you explore this extensive collection.
Each piece is shown at a set scale, helping to get a clear view on dimensions, and then ordered into 'rooms' to suddenly open up conversations between the pieces, breaking out of their thumbnail squares.
We say we did it for you however maybe that's not completely true... This is what we love to do and we couldn't let a lockdown stop us.
After spending too many evenings on https://roulettecasinosite.com, where every game is pushed at you in a flat grid, the way this exhibition uses actual proportions and grouped rooms to create unexpected dialogues really stood out to me. I love that the pieces can interact with each other instead of just existing as isolated thumbnails—it makes me wish more online galleries thought this deliberately.
