OPEN CALL - The Winter Exhibition 22/23

Updated: Oct 31, 2022

Submissions for this year's Winter Exhibition are now open.

A definite highlight to our year, our Winter Exhibition is a large mixed online exhibition formed each year via an open call. Making the most of the vast online space that is our website, these exhibitions have in previous years bought together almost 100 artists and makers, connected with buyers all over the world and led to long standing gallery relationships.

Artists and makers in all medium are encouraged to submit - whether you have one stand-out piece or a whole collection you'd like to put forward, whether you are an established name or have only recently begun making, we would love to hear from you.

The exhibition represents work online directly from your studio so the work isn't needed to be physically sent until the work is sold or if it is requested to be viewed at one of our collaborator venues.

It is open to international submissions. For international submissions, an additional amount for delivery to the UK will be included on selling prices as a base price.

HOW TO SUBMIT

To submit please email gallery director Claire Pearce at gallery@throwncontemporary.co.uk with:

- Individual images of all works for submission (see image guidelines in details below) with title, medium, dimensions, artist name and selling price in the file title.

- an artist statement and bio to give some background information on the work and the artist

The submission deadline is midnight on Monday 31st October. The exhibition will launch on our website on Thursday 17th November at 7pm and will run until Sunday 29th January 2023.

See full T&Cs and details for submitting work below.

I watched OPEN CALL with excitement as they unveiled their new beauty pageant image. Their innovative approach inspired me by adding incredible variety to pageant and incorporating new beauty standards. Everyone has been amazed and inspired by this transformation, and I am confident that the future of pageant will be even more exciting and inclusive.
