A special late view

It was an absolute pleasure to host a special event on Friday night as part of our current exhibition 'Growth'- in lieu of a physical private view, a gathering of those who have collaborated with us to create and support this exhibition.

We dotted seats amongst the exhibition so drinks and canapés could still be served and suddenly our guests were not only viewing the exhibition but an acting part within it.

A big thank you to Jo (@greenisthenewblack) and her team for the spectacular food, all created from the kitchen garden.

Talks by the collaborators were followed by readings by @omvedgardens Poet in Residence Will Burns (including a poem specially created for Growth), a screening of @thomas_broadhead's film capturing Darren Appiagyei's work as well as Dave Reeves's from magazine Where The Leaves Fall sharing with us the astonishing work of naturalist and documentary pioneer F. Percy Smith and a resulting project featuring his work, the film 'Minute Bodies'.

It was a special moment to be able mark the exhibition in this way. Thank you to those who joined us and also for your part in 'Growth'.

The exhibition continues here at OmVed Gardens until next Sunday (13th) so if you have promised yourself a visit, get some plans together- Tues-Fri 12pm-6pm, Sat-Sun 10am-6pm.

And one final important thank you - can't say these enough for these last few weeks! - to Sol Polo from OmVed Gardens for all of her beautiful photographs, perfectly capturing the whole intertwine. Here are some more:
