Winter Exhibition Focus: Jong Ceramics
The power of glazing.
All of Jong Ceramics' glazes are made from scratch in the studio with experimentation as a deeply integrated part of the production process. A lot of time is dedicated to discovering and testing the seemingly endless possibilities of glaze, clay and forms, resulting with a high percentage of failure and a very low percentage of success - but when it's right, it's so beautifully right.
Jong Ceramics is a British-born Malaysian-Chinese ceramicist based in London. Self taught, they focus on functional forms that emphasis the tactility of clay-as-material as well as sculptural ceramics influenced by East Asian heritage and culture.
We are thrilled to be representing 'Bowl - Mountainscape 2' by Jong Ceramics in our current online Winter Exhibition featuring original works by over 75 artists and makers from all over the world.
