The amount of joy hearing ‘Oh yes, I’ve heard about you’ brings us is probably slightly ridiculous. Last week at the London Art Fair, we got to hear this a lot and it’s left us with an energetic buzz to start our year of exhibitions. It’s our second year, both at the London Art Fair and actually as a gallery, and to realise that what we’re doing is getting noticed couldn’t be more the motivation we need. So thank you all so much for the incredible reactions to our stand - wherever in person or digitally, it all counts. Today I’m exhausted, all I want to do is find my sofa and stay there, but at the same time I already can’t wait to do it all over again.

Kirsty Adam’s work is both functional and holds aesthetic meaning, retaining the spontaneity and delicacy intrinsic to making on the potters’ wheel. A Japanese comb tool is used to create and enhance the throwing lines. Her Icelandic collection is the culmination of a research trip to Iceland to express the ‘otherworldliness’ of the landscape.
Kirsty is an award-winning ceramicist currently working from her studio in Newcastle upon Tyne. She originally trained at Brighton Art College and then on the potters’ wheel in Japan. She has developed a personal approach to throwing on the wheel using porcelain clay, to produce unique pieces for the home.
